Family Weekend 2018

Family Weekend is a tradition that has existed at Texas A&M University since 1919. Texas A & M University prides itself on making its visitors feel welcome. The University has given parents and guests a special time to feel this warm greeting. Family Weekend has become our official "HOWDY!"

 

Course Registration Tips

Pre-registration for Summer and Fall 2018 courses will take place April 4 - April 20. Here are some tips to share with your student to ensure course registration goes smoothly.

Registration Time Tickets are typically available to view in Howdy after mid-March and provide the specific start/end dates & times when the student can pre-register for Summer and/or Fall.

Money Management Resources

How can the Money Education Center help my student?

The Money Education (ME) Center provides Aggie students with the education and resources they need to make smarter personal finance decisions during college so that they can lay a foundation of financial success for a lifetime. Through presentations, walk-in advising, private appointments, online resources, and the 3 credit hour Foundations of Money Education course, the ME Center teaches Aggies about budgeting, saving and banking, building credit, investing, buying a car and home, and more.

A Family's Challenges During the First Year

During our daughter’s first semester at A&M, we didn’t anticipate the new struggles she would encounter as she transitioned into college life. She began facing challenges in areas that previously came easily to her. She had always performed well in school and wasn’t accustomed to spending much time studying. When college began, she found herself underperforming in her classes and unsure of how to respond. It was a new challenge both for her and us.
